CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)

NATIONAL DIGITAL CHECK-IN SYSTEM TO BE INTRODUCED AT ALL SAFRA CLUBS

The SafeEntry national digital check-in system, which logs visitors’ and employees’ names, NRIC/FINs and mobile numbers to facilitate contact tracing, will be deployed at all SAFRA clubs from 12 May 2020.

Each club will have a unique QR code displayed at the entry checkpoint for visitors to scan to check in. The same unique QR code will also be displayed at the exit point for visitors to scan upon check-out.

The following are the simple steps on how to use SafeEntry at our clubs:

SafeEntry Visual 800px

Visitors who do not have smartphones or are unable to access SafeEntry may still check in by providing your NRIC, driver’s license or TransitLink concession cards for barcode scanning upon entry and exit, or provide these details to our checkpoint employees for manual submission.

The check-in process via SafeEntry complements the mandatory temperature checks and declarations on health and travel history that are still required to gain entry to SAFRA clubs. These efforts are aimed at further enhancing safety for our members and the community as the circuit breaker measures are gradually eased by the authorities.

EXTENSION OF CLOSURE OF ALL FACILITIES EXCEPT FOOD & BEVERAGE ESTABLISHMENTS & SUSPENSION OF ACTIVITIES AND MEMBERSHIP SERVICES AT SAFRA CLUBS UNTIL 1 JUNE 2020

In light of the extension of the nationwide circuit breaker period to minimise further spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on 21 April 2020, all facilities at SAFRA will remain closed until 1 June 2020, except some food and beverage establishments which will offer only takeaway as dine-in is not allowed.

SAFRA membership services will also be suspended at all SAFRA clubs until 1 June 2020. These include:

  • SAFRA membership application/renewal and card processing
  • Collection and redemption of gifts
  • Collection of Treats & Deals vouchers

Those who wish to apply/renew their SAFRA membership can still do so online (www.safra.sg/membership) or via the mSAFRA app.

Measures introduced earlier from 26 March, 2359 hours, will also continue to be in effect until 1 June 2020:

  • All SAFRA-organised events and courses are cancelled
  • All SAFRA interest group and competitive sports club activities and training are suspended

Affected EnergyOne Gym members and SAFRA interest group (IG) members will have their gym and IG membership validity periods automatically extended by a duration equivalent to mandated facility closures or cancellation of activities. All other affected individuals who have registered for programmes, services or booked facilities during this period will also be contacted by the respective facility owners on refund or deferred arrangements, where applicable.

Parents of NurtureStars Preschool children may contact the centre’s Principal for assistance on urgent care services if required during the closure period.

Facilities that remain open will continue to adhere to prevailing guidelines by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce such as safe distancing measures.

The safety of our members and the public remains our top priority. Affected facilities and programmes may remain closed / suspended beyond 1 June 2020 should the COVID-19 situation worsen, or the authorities decide to extend further measures.

On 8 March 2020, SAFRA was informed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) that a confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) patient identified as Case 138 had visited EnergyOne gym at SAFRA Punggol on 6 March 2020. He was at SAFRA Punggol from 7.36pm to 9.32pm.

The affected individual was allowed entry into SAFRA Punggol as he did not trigger any of the risk factors related to COVID-19 infection – he had cleared mandatory temperature checks, declared that he did not have any travel history to designated countries and was not in close contact with any confirmed cases in the past 14 days.

As a precautionary measure, all visitors and employees at SAFRA Punggol were evacuated on receipt of the notice from MOH. Mandatory temperature taking and declaration of travel history, health and contact details for contact tracing, by all visitors to SAFRA clubs and activities with strict entry requirements. All employees are also required to take their temperatures twice daily, and seek medical attention and stay home if they have any flu-like symptoms or are unwell.
