Enhance your existing HDB Fire Insurance with AIG’s home contents cover to protect your home renovations, furniture, valuables, and even personal liability for you and your immediate family.
I own a private apartment. Can I buy EPHCI?
EPHCI is only available for HDB flat owners. If you wish to insure your landed residential properties, condominiums and private apartments, please check out AIG Homes Complete at www.SAFRA.sg/HomesComplete for the SAFRA-exclusive price. Or check out www.aig.sg/home-insurance for more details.
Do I have to be insured under HDB Fire Insurance to make a claim under the building cover?
No. Homeowners without HDB Fire Insurance or an equivalent policy can still make a claim under EPHCI’s building cover. However, if the homeowner is a HDB Fire Insurance policyholder, EPHCI serves to supplement the insured’s HDB Fire Insurance or its equivalent policy. Hence, in the event of damage or loss the HDB flat, the insured must first make a claim under HDB’s Fire Insurance or its equivalent policy before submitting a claim under the EPHCI building cover. We will then provide reimbursement for the balance amount for loss/damage that is not claimable under the abovementioned policies.
There is no difference in the premium across the different HDB flat types.
